iOS7 Beta Featured

iOS7 Beta is on a lot of eager Apple fan’s iPhones. Personally I don’t do the Beta thing on my iPhone, but nevertheless I am quite surprised at some of the nice features. I can’t wait to upgrade my iPhone to iOS7, but for now I’ll stay clear of iOS7 Beta. Somewhere I think there are some iPhone users with expired beta’s. If so, make sure that you install Beta 4 on your iPhone. It really looks great.

Then Gregor Suttie shares a nice tip on how to get remote debugging working on Visual Studio 2012. Matt Brian then tells us more about the ambitions of Panasonic and Sony. 300GB disks sounds quite sweet to me. Just don’t lose the disk. These babies are due to hit the shelves in 2015. Lastly Sean Sexton talks about using code snippets to implement custom exception types. If you haven’t been following Sean’s posts, be sure to subscribe to his feed. You will learn something new, guaranteed.

The middle of the week has arrived. Have a great day! Here is The Daily Six Pack!

Disable Bing Search in your Windows 8.1 Search Charm. Anand shows us how to do just that in his superb post in today’s featured link. Have you downloaded the Preview yet? Windows 8.1 is worth playing around with.

Tobias Günther then shows us how to get started with Git in no time at all. Yildirim Kocdag then talks about writing your own Siri mobile application.

Fix System Restore Featured

Fix System Restore in Windows 7 and 8… well there is something you don’t hear every day. System restore has saved my bacon on many occasions. But if for some reason your Operating System isn’t creating those System Restore Points, you could be headed for a bucket load of trouble. Have a look at our featured link for some troubleshooting tips.

Next up, Jeff Bramwell demystify’s Microsoft’s Git offering and Scott Hanselman writes an excellent post on what we are doing wrong on the Internet.

Lastly, finally, Microsoft  brings Office to iPhone and iPad. You need an Office 365 subscription though, but that is really probably the better way to go anyway. If you haven’t had a look at Office 365, check it out.

The middle of the week has arrived and I can smell the weekend approaching. Have a great day! Here is The Daily Six Pack!

iOS7 Apple Featured

iOS7 is surely on the mind of all Apple fans. The OS is truly incredible, beautiful and absolutely functional to an incredible degree. I have included some links below for your viewing pleasure. If you watched the KeyNote, you will agree that there are many things to be excited about. As Phil Schiller aptly put it, “Can’t innovate any more my ass”. I will agree with him!

In other exciting news, we have a June release of the AJAX Control Toolkit.  The AjaxFileUpload control has been enhanced to support uploading files directly to Windows Azure. Now that is nice!

Lastly, Juri Strumpflohner shares an excellent post with us on Git for Visual Studio. Be sure to check that one out!
